Pretty much every Australian family either has or wants to have a recliner in their household; one of the reasons being, they are more comfortable than sofas. What has put some people off buying a recliner in the past is that they are not as good looking as traditional sofas. However, because of the design innovation that has taken place, they are now on par (if not better) than sofas as far as design goes.
Reasons for choosing a recliner:

If you purchase a recliner, it will easily become the most comfortable piece of furniture that you own. It can be adjusted to suit your needs so, it would be wise to consider purchasing a recliner if you value comfort. There is very little that you will find on the market to beat the comfort level of a good recliner.

If you are dealing with health issues involving your back or hips, you might want to consider purchasing a recliner. They can be adjusted to give you more support and allow you to relieve some of the tension and pressure off key nerves in your back. Therefore, you are better able to reduce the amount of pain that you suffer when using a recliner.
3. Swivel feature
One of the best features that most of these chairs offer is a swivel feature. Because a lot of recliners can be swivelled, you do not need to constantly move your furniture around your house if you have guests over and you want to talk to them comfortably. Also, if you want to get a better view of your television, you can utilize the swivel feature in order to get a better overall view and angle.
4. Rocking ability
Another great feature that a lot of recliners will offer you is the ability to use it as a rocking chair. Anyone that has children knows how important this feature can be. Rocking can help settle restless babies sleep. This is an excellent feature to have for just about everyone, but particularly those with young children. This is something that you cannot do on sofa.
There are plenty of reasons why you should buy a recliner over a traditional chair or sofa. There are so many features you miss out on when you opt for a sofa, particularly in terms of comfort.
